Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Torrez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Murphy!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torrez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Torrez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Murphy ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Murphy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Murphy lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Torrez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Torrez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

No joy there for Torrez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Murphy with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Torrez to score with a decent uppercut.
Murphy moves in looking to clinch but Torrez pushes him off.
Torrez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Murphy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Torrez is looking to wear down Murphy with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Torrez cracks Murphy with an uppercut from hell and Murphy crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Torrez's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Torrez wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Murphy, who protects the arm well.
Torrez is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Murphy's shoulder. That is not cool.

Torrez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Murphy keeps working.
Torrez is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Torrez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Torrez Throws a clean left jab. Torrez Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Murphy's chin! Murphy crumbles to the ground and Torrez follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Torrez!
