Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Sparger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sparger might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pledge Allegiance to the Swag by T.I. feat. Rick Ross. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rob Sparger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Daniel Silva!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Steve Montenegro and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparger slips under a jab from Silva.
Silva swings widly with a right hand
and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Silva throws a right hand that misses
and Sparger counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Silva misses with a lunging right hand

and Sparger counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Sparger tries to stand and escape but Silva is controlling the position.
Silva makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Silva.

Sparger stands and steps away. Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sparger paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Silva throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

and Sparger counters with a nice body shot.
Silva tries to clinch but Sparger is having none of it.

Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sparger, pushing him back against the cage.
Silva keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Sparger's efforts to push away.
Sparger wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Silva misses with some punches.

Silva lands with a left to the head.

Silva scores with a shot to the side of Sparger's head.
Silva misses with a short punch on the inside.
Sparger blocks an uppercut.
Silva tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Silva lands with a light punch inside.

It looks like Rob Sparger has been cut.
Sparger wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

A frustrated look appears on Sparger's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Sparger is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Silva pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Sparger wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Silva has him pressed against the cage.

Silva fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sparger looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Sparger throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Sparger slips a jab from Silva.
Sparger looks to land a right hand but Silva moved out of range.
Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Silva throws a looping overhand right but Sparger ducks down to avoid it.

Rob Sparger's cut is getting worse.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva moves out of range as Sparger strikes.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Rob Sparger's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Sparger throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Silva closes the distance and clinches.

Sparger escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Silva throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Silva lands with a shot to the body.
Daniel Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sparger avoids a punch combination nicely.
Silva tries to clinch up.
Some wild striking there from Sparger.
Sloppy strikes from Silva. Those never looked like landing.

Sparger lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sparger uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Silva.

Sparger shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Sparger keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Silva walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Sparger shoots for a takedown but Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Silva dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Silva tests Sparger's chin there with a solid looking shot.


Jeez, Rob Sparger's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sparger was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.

Silva scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Silva takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rob Sparger's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Daniel Silva!
Daniel Silva seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
