PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam O Leary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jebediah Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stewart is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Momma Said Knock You Out. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stewart shoots in looking for a takedown but O Leary manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stewart's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Stewart darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
O Leary flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Stewart seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
O Leary is controlling Stewart's position as best he can from this difficult position.

O Leary dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

O Leary is looking to wear down Stewart with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Stewart tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but O Leary swivels and escapes.
Stewart tries to close the distance and clinch but O Leary swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Adam O Leary will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A momentary lapse in concentration from O Leary enables Stewart to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. O Leary manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
