Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vince Brasil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sorgi Kartov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kartov has chosen Coal Chamber - Loco as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vince Brasil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sorgi Kartov!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kartov tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Brasil counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Brasil tries to bum rush Kartov with a series of wild strikes but Kartov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Brasil gets a clinch.
Brasil wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Brasil tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Brasil misses with a hook from the clinch.
Kartov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Brasil walks away with a smile on his face. Kartov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Brasil misses with a straight left.
Brasil throws a good cross that connects.
Kartov tries to clinch up but Brasil circles away and keeps his distance.

Nice defenses there by Kartov.
Brasil throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Brasil gets a clinch.
Kartov trying to stall but Brasil improves his position.
Brasil lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Brasil is trying to force a seperation but Kartov has the dominant position.
Kartov will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Brasil up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Brasil's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Brasil pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Vince Brasil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brasil pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
An inside leg kick from Brasil misses.
Kartov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Brasil fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kartov is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Brasil throws a sloppy body shot
and Kartov counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Brasil misses with a punch on the inside.
Brasil throws a punch but it's blocked by Kartov.

Brasil breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Brasil looks to land a left hand but Kartov moved out of range nicely.

Brasil throws a right and a left that both miss.

Brasil slows down the pace here.
Kartov jumps guard but Brasil turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Kartov is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brasil to keep the fight standing.
Vince Brasil has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sorgi Kartov.
Brasil tries to circle away but Kartov has him pinned against the cage.

Brasil throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kartov blocks it with crossed arms.

Kartov manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Brasil tries to work over Kartov's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Brasil is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Kartov blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Brasil gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Brasil is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kartov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Brasil.
Brasil wants to pass to mount but Kartov is defending the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Kartov takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Brasil here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Brasil gets a takedown into half guard.
Brasil is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Kartov is trying desperately to improve position.
Kartov holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Brasil tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Brasil wants to control the pace but Kartov is squirming around nicely.

Brasil with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Kartov suckers Brasil into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Kartov is now in Brasil's guard!

We're going to have a standup here because Vince Brasil wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Brasil misses with a head kick.

Kartov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brasil but Brasil pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Brasil fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kartov.
Kartov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Brasil to score with a decent uppercut.
Brasil lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Brasil throws a head kick but Kartov moves out of range.
Brasil misses with a combination
and Kartov counters with a shoot takedown. Brasil fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brasil is adopting a defensive guard.

Brasil working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kartov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kartov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Brasil is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Vince Brasil just wasn't active enough.
Brasil looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Kartov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Brasil.
Brasil postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Brasil trying to move into half guard but instead Kartov has managed to sweep!

Kartov walks into a stiff left hand from Brasil.
Brasil swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kartov holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Brasil makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Brasil misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kartov tries to stall but Brasil uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Brasil misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Kartov managing to block the knees to the body from Brasil.
Kartov keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Brasil's efforts to push away.
Kartov is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Brasil to keep the fight standing.
Brasil has hold of one of Kartov's legs. Kartov is fighting the takedown attempt but Brasil gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Brasil drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kartov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Brasil has Kartov in his guard.

Sorgi Kartov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kartov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Kartov sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Brasil doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Kartov paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Brasil - great work!
