Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Ramsey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John The Butcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramsey comes into the arena with Fire blaring out of the sound system. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gordon Ramsey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John The Butcher!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Skip Squint and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Butcher fails with the takedown
and Ramsey counters with a nice body shot.

Ramsey throws a sloppy head kick and The Butcher moves out of range easily.

The Butcher rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ramsey moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Ramsey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ramsey uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from The Butcher.

The Butcher changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ramsey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Ramsey is looking for a sweep.
Ramsey is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on The Butcher's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Ramsey is trying to control but can't.
The Butcher is looking to stall here but Ramsey recovers full guard.

The Butcher drops back looking for a leg! Ramsey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ramsey manages to kick The Butcher off! The Butcher jumps back into Ramsey's guard.
Ramsey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The Butcher is staying active underneath Ramsey, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Ramsey wants to work for an arm triangle but The Butcher is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

John The Butcher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ramsey is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. The Butcher knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften The Butcher for a finish.
You can see the frustration on The Butcher's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Ramsey is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gordon Ramsey will probably get the nod.
