Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jewell Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodney Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jewell Carver has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carver thows a body shot but no joy.
Carver lands a slapping body shot.
Couture shoots in for a double leg but Carver sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Carver takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Couture has a takedown stuffed.
Carver could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Carver keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jewell Carver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rodney Couture.

Couture has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Carver avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Carver lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Couture circles away quickly and effectively.
Couture throws a hook but Carver blocks it.
Couture closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Carver tries to break free but Couture pushes him back against the cage.

Carver goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Couture stalls.
Carver can't find room to land a body shot as Couture controls the action.
Couture breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Carver scores with a one two! Couture had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Couture takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Carver shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Couture eats them both and turns towards Carver to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Carver works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Couture shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carver as he jumps to the side.

Carver fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Couture checks it well.
Carver tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Couture manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Carver looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Couture swings for the body but Carver moves out of range.
Couture changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carver tries to avoid it but Couture manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carver to the ground. Carver escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close round but I would say that Jewell Carver will probably get the nod.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Carver enables Couture to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Carver manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I would just about give that final round to Rodney Couture.
I think Couture has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
