Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ching Ling!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Luis Engracia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ling shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ko as he jumps to the side.
Ling looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ko is fending him off so far but Ling persists. Nope, Ko circles away and we're back to standing.
Ko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ling.
Ko tries to clinch up.
Ko throws a head kick but Ling moves out of range.
Ling shoots in but Ko avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hamusuta Ko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ching Ling.
Ling closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ko circles away.
Ko misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ling.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ko gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Ling throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ko tries to roll over but Ling keeps him under control.

Ling is trying for a kimura here. Ko looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Ling wins by kimura!

After the fight, Ching Ling was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
