The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mei fails with a takedown attempt.
Macdonald shoots in for a takedown but Mei shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Macdonald darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Mei wants to sweep but Macdonald has passed to side control!
Macdonald is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Mei's shoulder. That is not cool.
Mei knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Macdonald on the ground.

Macdonald has hold of Mei's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Mei tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Macdonald cranks the arm and Mei screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Mei, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
