Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Helios Kyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Pounder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pounder is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bliss N Eso-Field of Dreams. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jim Pounder!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pounder clinches.

Pounder lands a takedown into guard.
Pounder trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Pounder is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Kyle is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kyle escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pounder gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Pounder not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kyle had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pounder defends it easily.

Kyle looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Pounder passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kyle has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Pounder escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Pounder!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jim Pounder hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Kyle looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Pounder!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kyle has hold of Pounder's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Pounder manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Kyle swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Pounder is now in Kyle's guard. A big mistake from Kyle there, giving up the dominant position!

A close second round but Jim Pounder will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Kyle postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pounder is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kyle, into his guard.

Kyle escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pounder gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pounder pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kyle is keeping the position for now.
Pounder is stalling in the full guard.

Kyle drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pounder manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kyle has Pounder in his guard.
