Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Crash Bandicoot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Markson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bandicoot comes to the cage accompanied by Crash Bandicoot: Jungle Rollers Remix. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Markson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bandicoot doesn't manage to clinch there - Markson circles away.

Markson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bandicoot will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bandicoot looks for a takedown but Markson sprawls well.
Markson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bandicoot on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Markson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Markson wants it to stay on the feet.

and Markson counters with a low kick, right behind Bandicoot 's knee.

John Markson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Markson throws a right hand that Bandicoot ducks under and follows up with a left that Bandicoot also avoids with ease.

Markson is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Markson counters with a nice body shot.

A nice combination there by Markson.


Crash Bandicoot's cut is getting worse.

and Markson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Crunch! Markson slams his shin into Bandicoot's torso.
Bandicoot is breathing heavily.
Markson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bandicoot if he has to take too many more of those.
Markson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Crash Bandicoot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Markson scores with a one two! Bandicoot had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Bandicoot tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Markson swivels and escapes.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bandicoot tries to close the distance and clinch up but Markson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Markson throws a right and a left that Bandicoot avoids nicely.

Crash Bandicoot's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
A combination from Markson does no damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Markson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bandicoot has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Bandicoot is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Bandicoot is trying to drag Markson to the mat but Markson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Sloppy strikes from Markson. Those never looked like landing.

Bandicoot shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Markson throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Bandicoot moves in looking to clinch but Markson pushes him off.

Bandicoot takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Markson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Bandicoot will feel that in the morning.
Bandicoot shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.


Jeez, Crash Bandicoot's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Crash Bandicoot's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). John Markson!
John Markson is the new welterweight champion!
John Markson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
