The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevens swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Roland looks to clinch

and Stevens counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Roland's guard now.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Stevens trying to control the position from guard on top but Roland is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stevens in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Roland doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Stevens is stalling in the full guard.
Roland can't keep his opponent in guard - Stevens advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Stevens seems to be looking for submissions.

Roland is trying to control Stevens's posture. Stevens takes advantage of the lull and advances to side control. He also appears to have an arm triangle here! Uh oh, big trouble for Roland!
