The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newman throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Gotch tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Gotch shoots in for a takedown but Newman shows good takedown defense.
Gotch misses with a hook. Newman ducked under it nicely.
Gotch throws a looping overhand right but Newman ducks down to avoid it.
Newman throws a series of punches but Gotch moves out of range.

Gotch uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Newman.
A decent looking cross lands there for Newman.

Newman sends Gotch crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Newman is motioning to the referee to let Gotch up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Frank Gotch has been cut.
Gotch throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gotch avoids a punch combination nicely.

Newman throws a series of punches but Gotch avoids them all with ease.

Gotch drops his hands for a split second and Newman immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Gotch face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Newman follows up with a right hand that knocks Gotch into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
