Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Sipa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleks Malinkovikh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malinkovikh comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Disturbed - Down with the sickness kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Aleks Malinkovikh looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bryan Sipa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aleks Malinkovikh!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sipa misses with a body kick.
Sipa misses with a takedown attempt - Malinkovikh sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Malinkovikh looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Malinkovikh moves out of range of the body kick.

Sipa feints and as Malinkovikh raises his hands in defense, Sipa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Malinkovikh wants to get back to his feet but Sipa passes into half guard.
Malinkovikh misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Malinkovikh wants to get back to his feet.
Sipa is pressing down on Malinkovikh's thigh, looking to free his foot. Malinkovikh is holding on for now.
Sipa is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Sipa working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Malinkovikh looks gassed!
Malinkovikh is trying to stand up here but Sipa is controlling him well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Malinkovikh makes his way to full guard, as Sipa worked for a kimura.
Sipa throwing strikes from guard but Malinkovikh blocks nicely.
Sipa passes Malinkovikh's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Sipa passes to side control.
You can see the frustration on Malinkovikh's face as Sipa controls the position.
Sipa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Sipa decides to stand up, so the ref orders Malinkovikh to his feet.
Sipa shoots in for a takedown but Malinkovikh shows good takedown defense.
Nice takedown defense from Malinkovikh. No joy for Sipa on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bryan Sipa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sipa tries to bum rush Malinkovikh with a series of wild strikes but Malinkovikh uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sipa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Malinkovikh's waist but Malinkovikh gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sipa off to one side.
Sipa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A punch combination from Malinkovikh misses.
Malinkovikh keeps the fight on the outside.

Malinkovikh tries to clinch up

and Sipa counters by clinching up.

Sipa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Sipa forces Malinkovikh back against the cage and clinches.

Malinkovikh breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sipa clinches with his opponent.
Malinkovikh wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Sipa tries a body shot but Malinkovikh blocks it.
Malinkovikh prevents Sipa from breaking the clinch.

Malinkovikh manages to break the clinch.
Malinkovikh scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sipa fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Malinkovikh avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Sipa.
Malinkovikh is being controlled here.
Malinkovikh gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Sipa sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sipa lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Malinkovikh hang on?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bryan Sipa dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Sipa shoots in and bounces Malinkovikh off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sipa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Malinkovikh has his feet on Sipa's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Sipa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Sipa controls from within his opponent's guard.
Sipa pushes down on Malinkovikh's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Malinkovikh is breathing heavily.

Sipa has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Malinkovikh defend it? Sipa steps over the head and cranks it - Malinkovikh is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Sipa!
