Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chong Man Hoi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Baron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Hunk of Burning Love by Elvis Presley. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baron throws a nice inside leg kick.
Hoi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Baron swivels and escapes.
Baron fails in his attempt to clinch.
An inside leg kick lands from Baron.
The fight stays on the outside here - Baron looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hoi tries for a takedown but Baron sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Baron throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Baron wants to clinch up but Hoi keeps it at a distance.

Baron fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hoi, pushing him back against the cage.

Hoi pulls Baron into guard.

Hoi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Baron can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Baron really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hoi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hoi is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Baron slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Baron wants to control from the top but Hoi keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Baron is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Baron is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Baron distracts Hoi with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Hoi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Baron doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Hoi is tightening it up a little... Baron has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Baron reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Baron taps out! nice BJJ there by Hoi!
