Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Westside (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matty Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wayne Westside could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Matty Roberts's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roberts avoids a punch combination nicely.
Wayne Westside seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Westside lands with an overhand left.

Roberts is rocked!

It looks like Matty Roberts has been cut.
Roberts slips a straight right by Westside.
Westside shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Roberts as he jumps to the side.

Roberts gets caught flat footed, as Westside shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Westside stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roberts swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Westside avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Roberts looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Westside stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Roberts swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Westside sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Westside throws and elbow that misses. Roberts uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Westside's guard. Nice move by Roberts!
Roberts won't allow Westside to get back to his feet.

Roberts drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Roberts jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Westside is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Roberts wants to get back to full guard but Westside has passed into side control.
Westside misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Roberts is squirming around, avoiding Westside's attempts to control the action.
Roberts is trying to escape the mount.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Westside has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Westside is landing with some decent strikes but Roberts is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Westside prevents Roberts from getting the reversal.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roberts is bucking up trying to escape but Westside cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Roberts is still in real trouble! Can Westside finish him?
