Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mathew Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angus McZongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying McZongo's choice of entrance music: Skiltron- Sword and Shield. Mathew Dean has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dean throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McZongo counters with a low kick, right behind Dean 's knee.
A combination from McZongo does no damage.
Dean shoots and misses
letting McZongo counter with a right hand.
McZongo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Dean takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Dean moves in looking to clinch but McZongo pushes him off.
McZongo dips to his left and cracks Dean with an uppercut!
McZongo misses with a wild combination.
McZongo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dean circles away quickly and effectively.

and McZongo counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mathew Dean. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McZongo lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Dean takes a shot to the body in his stride.
McZongo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Dean under the eye.
Dean tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A nice combination there by McZongo.
Sloppy strikes from McZongo. Those never looked like landing.
McZongo throws out a leg kick but Dean moves out of range and McZongo only half commits.
Dean takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Dean walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
McZongo throws a hook but Dean avoids it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McZongo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
McZongo misses with a wild combination.
Angus McZongo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

McZongo moves into range and connects with a jab.
McZongo moves out of range of the strikes.
Dean blocks a leg kick.
McZongo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
The fight stays on the outside here - Dean looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Nice straight punches there by McZongo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of McZongo.
McZongo throws a low kick but it's checked well by Dean.
Dean doesn't succeed with the takedown
and McZongo counters with a lovely straight right hand!
McZongo is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Dean had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Dean tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. McZongo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dean takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Dean. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

and McZongo counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

McZongo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dean circles away quickly and effectively.

and McZongo counters with a lovely straight right hand!
McZongo lands with a cross.

McZongo dips to his left and cracks Dean with an uppercut!

and McZongo counters with a two punch combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McZongo's jab looks to have found its range, popping Dean under the eye.
McZongo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dean tries to close the distance and clinch up but McZongo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Dean is rocked!
McZongo jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Oh Dean is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McZongo throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Dean drops his hands for a split second and McZongo immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Dean face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. McZongo follows up with a right hand that knocks Dean into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
