The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Story closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Akiyama quickly recovers to half guard.
Story is looking to take a break and control but Akiyama is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Story seems to be looking for submissions.
Story seems to be working for a kimura but Akiyama defends the submission attempt.
Story with the ground and pound but Akiyama uses the opportunity to regain guard.
