Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sir Jecht (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikko Takatukka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jecht kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pink Floyd - Young Lust. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sir Jecht!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mikko Takatukka!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jecht moves forwards but Takatukka connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Takatukka throws an off balance right hand
and Jecht counters with a two punch combo.
A leg kick checked by Takatukka.
Takatukka just misses with a punch to the body.
Takatukka swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mikko Takatukka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takatukka misses with a body shot.
Takatukka dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Takatukka bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Takatukka misses the body punch
and Jecht counters with a stiff right hand.

Jecht drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Takatukka will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Jecht postures up and lands a big shot to Takatukka's brow.
Takatukka manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jecht manages to get himself to full guard.
Takatukka must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Takatukka throws a big right hand that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Takatukka stays in close to Jecht's body and controls the position.
Takatukka wants to control from the top but Jecht keeps moving.
Jecht trying to strike off his back.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Takatukka accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Takatukka stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jecht swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Takatukka is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mikko Takatukka.
Jecht on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Jecht takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Takatukka ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Takatukka scores with a hook to the body. Jecht takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Jecht wants to slow Takatukka down by chopping away at his legs.
Jecht fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Takatukka checks it well.
Takatukka cracks Jecht with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Jecht keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Takatukka pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jecht avoids the body shot from Takatukka.
Takatukka defending well as Jecht loads up on a big left hand.
Nice uppercut lands for Jecht. That snapped Takatukka's head back.
Takatukka walks straight into a right hand from Jecht - that's dropped him! Jecht jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Takatukka from any more punishment! Takatukka complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Sir Jecht!
Sir Jecht retains his welterweight title!
Sir Jecht decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
