Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mitch McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demetrious Bingham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDonald's entrance music is Sounds of Silence. A fine choice. Demetrious Bingham has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bingham looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bingham swings for the body but McDonald moves out of range.

Bingham drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
McDonald is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Bingham throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bingham thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
McDonald tries to get to full guard but Bingham has control of the leg.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mitch McDonald wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Bingham swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by McDonald.

Bingham shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McDonald sprawls well. McDonald wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bingham gets slowly back to his feet.
Bingham swats away the attempt to clinch by McDonald.
Bingham dives in and grabs McDonald's left leg, looking for a takedown. McDonald pushes down on Bingham's head and hops out.
Mitch McDonald has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demetrious Bingham.
McDonald lands with a good body shot.
Bingham fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McDonald avoids it really well and circles away.
McDonald tries to clinch up.
McDonald stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McDonald wants it to stay on the feet.
McDonald shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bingham eats them both and turns towards McDonald to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Bingham throws an overhand right that lands on McDonald's shoulder, as McDonald tries to avoid the shot.
Bingham lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but McDonald circles away quickly and effectively.
Bingham ducks under a wild hook from McDonald.
A combination from McDonald does no damage.
Bingham connects with a right hand. McDonald shakes it off.

Bingham closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into McDonald's guard.

Bingham throws a big right hand that misses.
Bingham loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
McDonald tries to land a sweep but no joy.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bingham throws a strike but McDonald rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bingham moves out of range of the strikes.
McDonald misses with a wild body shot.
McDonald misses the shot to the body.
Bingham fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but McDonald avoids it really well and circles away.
McDonald connects with a leg kick. Bingham looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Bingham closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McDonald did well to prevent Bingham getting side control.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bingham lands a nice short elbow.

McDonald wants to get back to full guard.
Bingham is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
McDonald has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bingham is working away from the top position though.
Bingham is nestled in close to McDonald, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

In his post fight interview, Demetrious Bingham started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
