Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Predir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Lombard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Predir lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Lombard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Predir moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Predir creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Lombard sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lombard can do anything to dispel that myth.

No joy there for Lombard, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Predir forces Lombard back against the cage and clinches.

Predir has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Lombard uses from the top position.

Predir will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Oh Predir is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Lombard drops Predir with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Predir looks back up at him and smiles so Lombard waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Lombard fakes the body blow, causing Predir to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Predir goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
