Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jambo Alvez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller's entrance music is Bis das Blut gefriert. A fine choice. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jacob Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jambo Alvez!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller tries to clinch

and Alvez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Miller is looking to stand up but Alvez isn't so interested in that idea.
Miller being controlled here, momentarily.
Miller utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Alvez looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Miller is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Alvez is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Miller is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Miller really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Alvez is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Let's hope that Alvez has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Miller had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alvez defends it easily.

Miller has his foot on Alvez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Alvez works his way back into a safe position though.

Miller looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Miller will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Alvez postures up in Miller's guard and throws a big left but Miller blocks it.

Alvez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Miller has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alvez has managed to get both his arms back between Miller's legs - danger averted.

Alvez works over Miller with some ground and pound from guard.
Alvez is in close to Miller's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Alvez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Miller has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alvez has managed to get both his arms back between Miller's legs - danger averted.

Alvez's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jambo Alvez dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Miller tries to clinch
and Miller takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Miller wants to clinch up but Alvez keeps it at a distance.
Alvez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Miller swivels and escapes.
Miller has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Alvez finds it's way round the side to connect with Miller's head.

enabling Alvez to counter with a crisp jab.

Miller throws a leg kick that misses.
Miller keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Alvez scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
A left lands for Alvez.
Alvez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Miller looks to land a combination. Alvez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Miller tries to clinch up.

Miller throws a sloppy head kick and Alvez moves out of range easily.
Miller closes the distance looking to clinch

and Alvez holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Miller lands an elbow inside that Alvez shrugs off.


It looks like Jambo Alvez has been cut.
Miller tries to break free but Alvez pushes him back against the cage.

Miller breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Miller tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alvez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Miller lands a glancing blow to the side of Alvez's head.
Alvez takes a kick to the side of the head.
Alvez keeps the fight on the outside.
Alvez darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
A shot to the liver by Alvez. Beautiful body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Alvez circles away from the clinch attempt

and Alvez counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alvez trying to control the pace.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Alvez connects with a nice short shot to Miller's temple.
Still in half guard, Alvez seems content to control.
Jambo Alvez has got the better of the ground game so far.

Alvez seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Alvez controlling the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jambo Alvez wasn't active enough on the ground.
Miller fails in his attempt to clinch.
Miller pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Alvez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Miller momentarily.
Miller connects with a high kick.

Miller gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Alvez to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Miller is looking for a triangle but Alvez pushes his legs off easily.
Alvez engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jambo Alvez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!



Miller darts in and clinches Alvez up against the cage.
Alvez tries to circle away but Miller has him pinned against the cage.

Miller breaks the clinch.

Alvez clinches up against the cage.
Alvez is trying to break free.
Miller using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Alvez has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Alvez will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Miller up against the cage.
Miller tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Miller has a couple of punches blocked by Alvez.
Miller is trying to push Alvez away but Alvez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Alvez stalls.

Miller breaks from the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Miller throws the left hand but Alvez avoids the punch easily.
Alvez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Alvez gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Miller darts in trying to clinch
and Alvez counters with a straight right hand.
Miller fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Alvez is out of range.
Danga de danga de dang - Alvez scores with a four punch combination!

and Alvez counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jambo Alvez is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.


Miller is rocked!

Miller takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Oh Miller is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Alvez drops Miller with a naaaaasty hook - Miller is in real trouble here! Alvez dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:07 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jambo Alvez!
Jambo Alvez decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
