Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Reke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Janne My!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
My misses with a double jab.
My throws a head kick that half lands.


It looks like Jose Reke has been cut.
My throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
My throws a series of punches but Reke avoids them all with ease.
Reke looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
My lands a jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
My throws a right and a left that both miss.
My throws a nice looking combination but Reke bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Reke looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Reke tries to free his leg and advance position but My is retaining full guard.
My keeping moving, preventing Reke from controlling successfully.
Reke is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because My is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Reke drops back looking for a leg! My is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and My manages to kick Reke off! Reke jumps back into My's guard.

My keeping moving, preventing Reke from controlling successfully.
My really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reke. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Reke stops My from standing up.
Reke tries to free his leg and advance position but My is retaining full guard.

My wants to stand but Reke is controlling the position.

Reke throws a big elbow that misses.

Reke drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reke jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

My wants to stand but Reke has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Reke has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. My is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Reke.

My blocks the strikes from Reke.

My stands up and we're back to a striking position.
My throws a head kick but Reke moves out of range.
My throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Reke.
Reke throws a wild body kick that My sees coming a mile off.
My misses with a two punch combination.
Janne My is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Reke shoots in but My avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
My swinging wildly here.
My looks to score with a jab to the body but Reke is just out of range.
Reke shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Reke. That's going to take a lot out of him.
My throws a right and a left that both miss.
My defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Reke.
Some wild striking there from My.
My rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Reke moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Janne My seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
My looks gassed!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
My misses with a double jab.
Reke wants to clinch.
Reke tries to clinch but My moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Janne My dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


My fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Reke shoots in but My avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Janne My is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sloppy strikes from My. Those never looked like landing.
My lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Reke circles away quickly and effectively.
Reke showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from My.

My throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
My looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
My looks to land a combination but Reke avoids it well.
My is breathing heavily.

My gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Reke won't allow My to get back to his feet.
Reke trying to control the position from guard on top but My is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Reke pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. My is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reke working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of My's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reke passes My's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
My wants to get back to his feet.

Reke is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and My defends it well.

Reke wants to pass the guard but My is defending well.
Reke throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Reke not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
My wants to get back to his feet.

My is defending against the submission attempts here by Reke.

Reke is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Reke has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can My defend it? Reke steps over the head and cranks it - My is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Reke!
