The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rob uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Rob takes one to the chin there.
Shirtless Rob seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rob jabs Nyholm to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Nyholm shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nyholm showed some decent athleticism there.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Rob avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nyholm.
Rob wants to control but Nyholm is keeping busy.
Rob really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nyholm. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rob has hold of Nyholm's hands but Nyholm slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Nyholm wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rob keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Nyholm cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Nyholm fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rob is bucking up trying to escape but Nyholm cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Nyholm lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Nyholm has hold of Rob's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rob manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
