The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson misses with a takedown
and Down counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Down wants to pass the guard but Tyson is defending well.
Down missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Tyson trying to control here.
Tyson is trying to stand up here but Down is controlling him well.
Tyson flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tyson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Down working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Tyson won't allow Down to pass to mount.
Down is nestled in close to Tyson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tyson is staying active underneath Down, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Down seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Down wants to free his trapped foot but Tyson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Down uses his free foot to push down on Tyson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tyson.

Down can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tyson is looking to escape.
Tyson wants to control but Down is having none of it.
Down has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tyson's face.
