Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ba Lil II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Todd Straub (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lil II looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Lil II throws an overhand right that lands on Straub's shoulder, as Straub tries to avoid the shot.
Lil II misses with a body punch
and Straub counters with a left and a right that stings Lil II.
Straub misses with a jab to the body
and Lil II counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Straub's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lil II is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Straub is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Lil II had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Straub defends it easily.
Straub trying to control the position from guard on top but Lil II is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lil II wants to sweep but no luck.
Straub got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lil II has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Straub has managed to get both his arms back between Lil II's legs - danger averted.
Straub passes Lil II's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Straub is controlling the pace.
Let's hope that Straub has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Straub stalling away here and it's allowed Lil II to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
