Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonathan Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacques Cristo!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hall throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cristo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hall is in Cristo's guard.

Hall avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Cristo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hall doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hall manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Cristo looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Hall avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Hall is in close to Cristo's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Hall loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hall is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Cristo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Hall stacks Cristo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Hall!
Cristo is trying to work for a sweep but Hall has mounted him!
Hall sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Cristo is working to get back to half guard.
Hall lands a big elbow.
Cristo tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The referee warns Cristo that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cristo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.


Cristo is rocked!


It looks like Jacques Cristo has been cut.
Cristo looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Cristo is still in real trouble! Can Hall finish him?
Cristo is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Hall off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Hall really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Cristo.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Cristo showing good submission defense here.
Cristo seems to have recovered his senses.
Cristo breaks Hall's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Hall pulls Cristo in close to prevent any damage.

Hall wriggles free and stands up.
Cristo has his takedown stuffed

and Hall counters with a shoot takedown. Cristo fights it but they end up in guard.

Cristo looking for a guillotine here but Hall defends easily.

Cristo is working an open guard so Hall takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Cristo gets caught flat footed, as Hall shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Hall advances position into side control!
Cristo sneaks back into half guard.
Hall slips a nice elbow through Cristo's hands, connecting with Cristo's forehead.
Hall is nestled in close to Cristo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Hall escapes and gets back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hall looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Hall connects with a couple of short punches.
Hall sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hall's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Cristo can't keep his opponent in guard - Hall advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Hall stands up and beckons Cristo to join him on the feet.
Cristo moves in looking to clinch but Hall pushes him off.

Hall closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hall lands in his opponent's guard.

Cristo is looking for a triangle here but Hall uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Cristo is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cristo is trying to get back to half guard.
Hall grinds an elbow into Cristo's temple.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jonathan Hall dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jacques Cristo's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Hall displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cristo.

Hall darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Cristo looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Hall content to control rather than advance.
Hall seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cristo for as long as he can get away with.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hall is trying to control the action in half guard but Cristo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Cristo is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Hall has latched onto it... Big trouble! Hall pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Cristo is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Hall!
