Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ted Grant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Fighter!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fighter ducks under a wild hook from Grant.
Grant slips a jab and a cross from Fighter.
Fighter has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Grant.
Grant showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Fighter.
Fighter throws a right and a left that both miss.
Grant pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Fighter back to the cage. Grant follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Steve Fighter has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fighter looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Grant misses with a wild body shot.
Fighter is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Grant.
Grant looks to land a combination but Fighter avoids it well.
Grant lands with a shot to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Grant. Fighter does a little dance to reset his feet.
Steve Fighter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grant blocks the body kick.
Fighter rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Grant moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Grant dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Grant. Those never looked like landing.
Fighter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grant moves away.
Fighter will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Grant scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Grant avoids the body shot from Fighter.
Grant is looking to wear down Fighter with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Fighter needs to keep his hands up - Grant had a free shot at his head there.

Grant connects with a crisp jab.
Grant fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

No joy there for Grant, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Grant feints with a jab and clips Fighter right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Fighter is sent crashing into the canvas and Grant leaps in for the kill! Fighter tries to get to his feet but Grant is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Fighter is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ted Grant!
