PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Styles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harrison Locke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Styles has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jay Styles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Harrison Locke!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Styles is looking to clinch.
Locke darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

It looks like Jay Styles has been cut.
Locke moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Styles tries to bum rush Locke with a series of wild strikes but Locke uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Locke drops Styles with a beautiful combination! Styles stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Locke is looking for the KO!

Styles is rocked!
Locke scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Oh Styles is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Styles is breathing heavily.

Locke gets a clinch.
Styles seems to have got his legs back now.

Locke breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Locke swinging wildly here.
Locke lands a nice hook to Styles's body. Styles takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Styles takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Locke feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Styles sprawling to the canvas! Styles rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Locke finish him?!

Jay Styles's cut is getting worse.
Locke cracks Styles's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Styles slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Locke can do further damage! This one is done, son!
