Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Luke Pierriot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Calahan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Juan Luke Pierriot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Calahan!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pierriot has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Calahan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Pierriot works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Pierriot bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Calahan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pierriot. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pierriot wants to lay and pray for a moment but Calahan keeps working.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Calahan dives in and grabs Pierriot's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pierriot pushes down on Calahan's head and hops out.
Pierriot slaps away a takedown attempt from Calahan, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Calahan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pierriot on his heels. He'll look to pass Pierriot's guard now, I'm sure.

Pierriot looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Calahan has picked Pierriot up and slammed him! Pierriot can't keep hold of the triangle and Calahan manages to pass to side control!

Pierriot lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pierriot.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Juan Luke Pierriot.
