Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Optimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rex Ronny Samuelsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prime's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Metalingus by Alter Bridge. Samuelsen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Schwab - DJs in a Row. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samuelsen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

and Prime counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Prime scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Samuelsen tries to improve position but can't.
Prime tries to score with some ground and pound. Samuelsen controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Samuelsen is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Prime has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Samuelsen is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Prime knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Prime for a finish.

Samuelsen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Prime defends it easily.

Prime got a little sloppy there for a moment and Samuelsen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Prime has managed to get both his arms back between Samuelsen's legs - danger averted.
