Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Grundy Wall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Sabre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Sabre is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Grundy Wall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Sabre!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wall throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Wall clinches with his opponent.
Sabre is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Wall misses with an elbow strike.
Wall blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Sabre is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Wall is defending well.

Wall gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sabre is trying to control the position but Wall postures up.
Sabre wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wall won't allow Sabre to get back to his feet.
Wall wants to control from the top but Sabre keeps moving.

Sabre is looking for a triangle but Wall pushes his legs off easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sabre looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wall chips away with some ground and pound.
Wall trying to control but Sabre is working from the bottom.

Sabre not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Wall is looking to work some ground and pound but Sabre has wrist control.
Sabre is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Wall on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wall tries to get out of the position.
Wall tries to roll over but Sabre keeps him under control.
Wall is pressing down on Sabre's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Sabre trying to control the position from guard on top but Wall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wall wants to stand and escape but Sabre is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sabre passes Wall's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Wall is staying active underneath Sabre, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Wall gets back to full guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ryan Sabre wasn't active enough on the ground.
Wall fails in his attempt to clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Wall misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Wall.
Wall slips a jab and a cross from Sabre.
Wall lands with an uppercut that bounces Sabre off the cage and back into range.
Wall stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wall wants it to stay on the feet.

Wall moves into the clinch.
Sabre is pressed up against the cage. Wall has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sabre down to the mat. Sabre avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Wall lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Sabre shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wall defends it nicely.
Grundy Wall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Sabre.
Sabre looks gassed!
Sabre swinging wildly here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Wall throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wall misses with a looping left.
Sabre checks a leg kick nicely.
Wall uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sabre.
A punch combination from Wall misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wall looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wall tries to land a leg kick but Sabre saw it coming and moves away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wall takes a swing at Sabre's ribcage but misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sabre shoots in but no luck this time.

Sabre dives in and scores a takedown into Wall's guard.
Wall has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Sabre has passed into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Grundy Wall will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Wall misses with a two punch combination.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sabre.
Wall just misses with a punch to the body.

Sabre shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Wall is desperately trying to improve his position but Sabre has a good base and remains in mount.

Wall defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Sabre.
Sabre controlling from the full mount.
Ryan Sabre has got the better of the ground game so far.

Sabre throwing strikes here but Wall is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Wall is in all sorts of trouble here.
Wall blocking the ground and pound.
Sabre throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.

Sabre is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Wall is surviving well by controlling Sabre's body position as best he can.

Wall can't escape the position.
Wall reaches up to try and control the position but Sabre seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Wall rolls and tries to escape and now Sabre has his back!

Wall is in bad spot here.
Sabre is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
I really don't envy Wall right now.
Wall looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wall is really stuck here.
Sabre has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Wall's body.
Wall looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Wall just trying to survive but Sabre is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Wall controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Sabre patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Sabre trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
What can Wall do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Wall is trying to get back to his feet but Sabre has full control of the position and if anything, Wall has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Sabre controlling well, preventing Wall from escaping the position.

Wall is trying to stand back up.
Wall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sabre on the ground.
Sabre has the hooks in. Wall is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ryan Sabre showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

and Sabre counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Wall!
Wall wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Sabre is looking to control Wall but Wall is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Sabre slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Wall trying to control the hands but Sabre breaks the grip.
Sabre has the hooks in. Wall is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Wall is covering up but some of the strikes from Sabre are getting through and doing damage.

Sabre is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Wall has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
You can see the frustration on Wall's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Sabre is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Wall with him. Wall is trying to defend but Sabre has an arm under the chin now! Wall grimaces and is forced to tap out!
