Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Kurt Schindler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Brock Cruz!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schindler throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Schindler closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Brock Cruz has been cut.
Some wild striking there from Cruz.
Schindler fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Brock Cruz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Schindler dodges the punch combination from Cruz.
Schindler shoots in for a takedown but Cruz shows good takedown defense.
Schindler tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Schindler drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Schindler throws a strike aimed at the side of Cruz's head but Cruz avoids it well.
Cruz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schindler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Schindler is looking to take a break and control but Cruz is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cruz can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cruz tries to bum rush Schindler with a series of wild strikes but Schindler uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Cruz lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Cruz.

Brock Cruz seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Cruz pushes Schindler off looking to stand but Schindler dives back in and keeps control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Schindler is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cruz defends it well.

Schindler has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Cruz finds it's way round the side to connect with Schindler's head.
Cruz will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cruz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Schindler slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

We're going to have a standup here because Kurt Schindler wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
