Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hyoto Bachida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ulla Taalasmaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hyoto Bachida looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bachida.

Bachida has managed to clinch.

Bachida has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Taalasmaa regains guard immediately.

Hyoto Bachida overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Taalasmaa wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Bachida.
Bachida lands a big shot there that rocks Taalasmaa but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Bachida breaks from Taalasmaa's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Bachida is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Bachida controlling the position easily from mount.

Bachida has control of Taalasmaa's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Taalasmaa regains control of the situation pretty easily.

and Bachida counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Taalasmaa's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bachida decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Taalasmaa, up you get!

Bachida throws a right and a left that Taalasmaa avoids nicely.
Bachida's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Bachida duly obliges.
Bachida misses with a few strikes there.
Bachida tries to close the distance and clinch up but Taalasmaa swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Bachida looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Bachida throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Taalasmaa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bachida's waist but Bachida gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Taalasmaa off to one side.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Taalasmaa misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Bachida counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Taalasmaa!

Taalasmaa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bachida. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Bachida wants to finish this one by submission but Taalasmaa is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bachida.
Ulla Taalasmaa has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Bachida is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Taalasmaa has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Taalasmaa!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bachida, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
