Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva closes the distance looking to clinch
and Howard counters with a head kick.
Howard throws a lazy head kick
and Silva counters with a head kick.

and Silva counters with a three punch combo that has Howard backing up. Howard nods at Silva to acknowledge the strikes.
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Howard pushes him off.
Howard misses with a low kick.
Silva misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Howard.
Silva tries to land a front kick but Howard steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Howard takes a swing at Silva's ribcage but misses.
Howard throws a lazy head kick
and Silva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Howard trying to keep a closed guard but Silva is proving a slippery customer.

Howard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
