Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Edmundo Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John McMillan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Edmundo Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John McMillan!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jr slaps away a takedown attempt from McMillan, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Jr decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McMillan's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jr loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

McMillan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jr controls the pace.

McMillan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jr controls the pace.
Jr working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of McMillan's head.
McMillan controls Jr momentarily but Jr frees himself.

Jr is looking to work some ground and pound but McMillan has wrist control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jr with a flurry of punches that miss.
McMillan working a defensive guard but Jr passes into half guard.

Jr throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
McMillan regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Jr.
Jr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jr trying to control but McMillan is working from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McMillan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Jr is looking to work some ground and pound but McMillan has wrist control.
Jr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McMillan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Jr not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
McMillan looking for a sweep. Not yet McMillan, not yet.
Jr scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Jr slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Jr missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Jr slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Jr connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused McMillan some visible discomfort.
McMillan tries to buck Jr off but Jr is having none of it.
Jr moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
McMillan is looking to regain half guard here but Jr keeps moving and retains side control.

Jr lands some shots froms side control.
Jr lands a decent elbow from side control.
McMillan takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jr working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jr tries to control but McMillan wriggling away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jr tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
McMillan really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Edmundo Jr dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Jr changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McMillan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jr scores with a couple of short elbows.
McMillan wants to control but Jr postures up.
Jr slows the pace down.
Jr wants to control but McMillan is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McMillan is looking for a sweep.
Jr landing strikes.

You can see the frustration on McMillan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jr taking a breather here.
McMillan is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jr connects with a decent elbow.

McMillan trying to control but Jr flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Jr has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of McMillan's body.
McMillan trying to control the hands but Jr won't let him.
I would not like to be McMillan right now.
McMillan takes a big shot to the side of the head.
McMillan trying to control the position but Jr manages to sink in the hooks.
Jr has good solid back control here.
Jr lands shots from the back.

McMillan covers up after that shot from Jr.
Jr controls the position.
Jr lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can McMillan hold on?!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jr lands with a hammerfist to the side of McMillan's head.
Jr is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McMillan can do to turn this around?

Jr connects with a couple of big shots that have McMillan covering up! Oh, this looks bad for McMillan! Jr fires away with several more unanswered shots and the referee has no choice but to step in! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edmundo Jr!
Edmundo Jr was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
