Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Obidiah Fitzroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bariga Cocainich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cocainich has chosen Будущее 9эт as his entrance music. Obidiah Fitzroy had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bariga Cocainich!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cocainich closes the distance and clinches up with Fitzroy, looking for a takedown. Cocainich pushes Fitzroy against the cage but Fitzroy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fitzroy throws a sloppy head kick and Cocainich moves out of range easily.
Cocainich misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cocainich looks for a takedown but Fitzroy sprawls well.
Obidiah Fitzroy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bariga Cocainich.

Fitzroy takes the fight into the clinch.
Cocainich has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Fitzroy after a bit of a struggle.
A right hook to the body lands for Fitzroy.

Cocainich gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Cocainich is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Fitzroy is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Fitzroy has escaped and now he's on top!
Fitzroy knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cocainich on the ground.
Fitzroy passes Cocainich's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Cocainich is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Fitzroy pulls his head out easily.

Fitzroy is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Cocainich doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fitzroy.

Cocainich has his foot on Fitzroy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fitzroy works his way back into a safe position though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cocainich escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Fitzroy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cocainich has his foot on Fitzroy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Fitzroy works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Fitzroy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cocainich, up you get!
Cocainich gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Fitzroy makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fitzroy scores with a head kick. Cocainich tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Cocainich closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fitzroy circles away.

It looks like Bariga Cocainich has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cocainich shoots for a double leg takedown but Fitzroy sprawls well. He's pushed Cocainich's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cocainich is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fitzroy defends it well.
