Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Junior Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Kent (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kent's choice of entrance music: I'll be Back. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Junior Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Kent!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez scores with a kick to the body.

Kent moves into range and clinches up with Sanchez.
Sanchez tries to break free but Kent pushes him back against the cage.
Kent looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Kent wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Kent working hard to break the clinch.

Sanchez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Peter Kent seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kent misses with an uppercut. Sanchez saw that one coming.
Kent thows a body shot but no joy.
A nice combination there by Kent.


It looks like Junior Sanchez has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sanchez tries a head kick but it misses.
Kent lands a nice hook to Sanchez's body. Sanchez takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Kent misses with a body shot.

Kent fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sanchez, pushing him back against the cage.
Sanchez keeps control of Kent as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kent is trying to force a seperation but Sanchez has the dominant position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kent's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sanchez misses with a head kick.
Sanchez cracks a nice hook into Kent's ribs.

Kent shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sanchez napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Kent stands up.
Kent doesn't manage to clinch there - Sanchez circles away.
Sanchez takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kent throws a nice looking combination but Sanchez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kent misses with a jab to the body
and Sanchez counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kent is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kent fails to land with a series of punches.
Kent throws a right hand that misses
and Sanchez counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.


It looks like Peter Kent has been cut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kent just misses with a punch to the body.
A jab from Sanchez finds it's way through Kent's defenses.
Kent is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Sanchez.
Nice straight punches there by Kent. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kent.
Sanchez throws a sloppy head kick and Kent moves out of range easily.
Sanchez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sanchez scores with a head kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Sanchez.
Sanchez lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kent at a distance.
Sanchez misses with a double jab.
Sanchez fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
A combination from Kent does no damage.
Kent is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Sanchez rather than just go for the knockout.
Sanchez moves out of range of the strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kent throws a body punch but Sanchez moves out of range.
Kent throws a lazy uppercut
and Sanchez counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Sanchez misses with a head kick.
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch but Kent swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sanchez scores with a three punch combo!
Kent ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Kent swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kent tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sanchez was well out of range. Poor timing from Kent.
Nice straight punches there by Kent. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kent.
Sanchez lands a jab-cross combination.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kent misses with a jab to the body
and Sanchez counters with a nice leg kick.
Sanchez moves in looking to clinch but Kent pushes him off.
Sanchez doesn't manage to clinch there - Kent circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Sanchez lands a big head kick that sends Kent tumbling to the mat! Sanchez takes a step backwards and waves Kent back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Kent is rocked!


That has opened up Peter Kent's cut even more.
Sanchez fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kent has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Kent is still on wobbly legs! Can Sanchez finish him?
Kent looks gassed!
Sanchez closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Kent! Sanchez dives in looking to finish! Kent is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Junior Sanchez!
