Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brock Lesnar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miko Maia!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesnar uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Maia has time to react.
Maia misses with a body shot.
Lesnar misses with a left hand
and Maia cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Maia lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Lesnar digs a good hook to Maia's body.
Maia lands a nice shot to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lesnar drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Maia stuffs the takedown attempt from Lesnar. Lesnar gets slowly back to his feet.
Maia keeps Lesnar at a distance using the push kick.
Maia throws a looping overhand right but Lesnar ducks down to avoid it.
Lesnar lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Maia at a distance.
Maia comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Maia lands a right hook to the body.
Maia cracks Lesnar with a right hand to the side of the head.
Lesnar tests Maia's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Lesnar takes a swing at Maia's ribcage but misses.
Miko Maia is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lesnar clinches up with Maia and pushes him back against the cage.
Maia tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Lesnar has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Maia after a bit of a struggle.

Maia gets control of Lesnar's arms and successfully pulls guard. Maia will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Lesnar postures up in Maia's guard and throws a big left but Maia blocks it.
Maia is trying to keep Lesnar in close.
Lesnar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Maia is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Maia is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Maia keeping full guard, as Lesnar tries to pass.

Maia isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lesnar stacks Maia on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lesnar!

Lesnar lands a few punches from side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Maia takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Lesnar is staying tight to Maia's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Lesnar is looking to take a break and control but Maia is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lesnar tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lesnar misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Lesnar wants to control but Maia is keeping him busy.
Maia looks to move to half guard but instead Lesnar has passed into mount! Damn!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lesnar in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.


It looks like Miko Maia has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Maia is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Lesnar dominating with strikes here.
Lesnar avoids the attempt from Maia to control.
Lesnar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Lesnar lands a big shot there that rocks Maia but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Lesnar tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brock Lesnar dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Miko Maia's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Lesnar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lesnar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lesnar lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Lesnar has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Maia's face.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maia in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Lesnar! Maia is hurt baaadly! Lesnar is firing away with more strikes - Maia is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brock Lesnar!
