Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo daVinci (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kerr has chosen Scotland The Brave [Instrumental] as his entrance music. The key to victory for Leonardo daVinci has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leonardo daVinci!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tom Kerr!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by daVinci.
daVinci looks to score with a jab to the body but Kerr is just out of range.
daVinci pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Kerr takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kerr takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Kerr throws a combination but it was largely blocked by daVinci.
daVinci thumps Kerr with a low kick.
daVinci throws a push kick but Kerr slaps the foot to one side.
Kerr fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
daVinci slips a jab and a cross from Kerr.

Tom Kerr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kerr swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

and daVinci makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Kerr really felt that one!

and daVinci counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

It looks like Tom Kerr has been cut.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kerr can do anything to dispel that myth.

daVinci has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
daVinci is really struggling to control Kerr but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Kerr bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

daVinci is not content to let Kerr control the position.
Kerr looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks daVinci with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
daVinci is looking to improve his position.
daVinci is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Kerr's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Kerr's back!

daVinci has the hooks in. Kerr is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
daVinci connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Kerr to escape the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

daVinci has control of Kerr's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kerr regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Leonardo daVinci spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
