The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fujinami shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Grassroot is desperately trying to improve his position but Fujinami has a good base and remains in mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Grassroot gets back to half guard.
Fujinami performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Fujinami has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Grassroot is looking for a sweep. Fujinami is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Fujinami perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Tatsumi Fujinami just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Fujinami has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Grassroot! Can he survive? No! He's out! Fujinami gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
