PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Zelenofia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aragorn Primeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zelenofia gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Primeiro counters with a nice kick to the body.
Primeiro shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zelenofia sprawls well. Zelenofia wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Primeiro gets slowly back to his feet.
Primeiro lands with a slapping head kick.

Primeiro closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Zelenofia quickly recovers to half guard.
Zelenofia could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Primeiro is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Primeiro's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Aragorn Primeiro wasn't active enough on the ground.
Primeiro looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zelenofia is fending him off so far but Primeiro persists. Nope, Zelenofia circles away and we're back to standing.

That's time! Zelenofia's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Primeiro shoots in looking for a takedown. Zelenofia tries to sprawl out of it but Primeiro keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Zelenofia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Primeiro is on top in guard.

Primeiro tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Primeiro has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Zelenofia is pressed up against the cage. Primeiro has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Zelenofia down to the mat. Zelenofia avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Zelenofia will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Primeiro has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Zelenofia parries the strikes from Primeiro easily there. Primeiro is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Zelenofia to escape.

Primeiro has control of Zelenofia's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Zelenofia regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Aragorn Primeiro comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Primeiro has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
