The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adkins clinches with his opponent.
Adkins has Del Negro pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Del Negro manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Adkins manages to break the clinch.
Del Negro throws a sloppy head kick and Adkins moves out of range easily.
Del Negro misses with a wild combination.
Adkins tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Del Negro paws at him with a jab and circles away.
No luck for Adkins with that takedown attempt.

Adkins changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Del Negro fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Adkins works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Adkins stands and throws Del Negro's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Del Negro is looking for a sweep.
Del Negro knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Adkins on the ground.

Adkins stands up and beckons Del Negro to his feet.

Adkins rushes Del Negro and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Del Negro looks to land a combination but Adkins avoids it well.

Adkins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Del Negro's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Santos Del Negro.

Adkins lands a big head kick that sends Del Negro tumbling to the mat! Adkins takes a step backwards and waves Del Negro back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Adkins has Del Negro up against the cage in a clinch.
Oh Del Negro is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Del Negro is pressed against the cage. Adkins pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Del Negro! Two more big strikes from Adkins and Del Negro crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
