Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rodrigo Coutinho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Augusto Turolla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coutinho kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Brazil Samba. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coutinho uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Turolla.
Coutinho fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Coutinho tries to clinch up but Turolla circles away and keeps his distance.

Turolla rushes Coutinho and presses him up against the cage.

Turolla breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Coutinho shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Turolla as he avoids it easily.

Augusto Turolla seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Coutinho throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Turolla's waist but Turolla gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Coutinho off to one side.

Turolla has closed the distance and engaged Coutinho in a clinch.
Coutinho tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Turolla smiles and moves away.
Coutinho changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Turolla tries to avoid it but Coutinho manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Turolla to the ground. Turolla escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Coutinho looks for a takedown but Turolla sprawls well.

Turolla won't allow Coutinho to sweep him here.

Coutinho pushes Turolla off and scrambles back to his feet.
Coutinho will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Coutinho shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Turolla as he jumps to the side.
Turolla buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Turolla throws a right hand that Coutinho ducks under and follows up with a left that Coutinho also avoids with ease.
No luck for Coutinho with that takedown attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Coutinho closes the distance and clinches up with Turolla, looking for a takedown. Coutinho pushes Turolla against the cage but Turolla circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Coutinho shoots in looking for a takedown. Turolla tries to sprawl out of it but Coutinho keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Turolla manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
