Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyson Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Coleman stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Coleman wants it to stay on the feet.

Jackson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Coleman to the mat! Coleman manages to get full guard.

Jackson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Coleman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jackson has Coleman in his guard.
Jackson is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Jackson is looking for a triangle but Coleman pushes his legs off easily.

Jackson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Coleman swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Coleman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jackson defends it easily.

Jackson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Coleman is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jackson, into his guard.
Jackson pulls Coleman in close to prevent any damage.
Coleman really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Coleman fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jackson avoids it really well and circles away.

Coleman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Coleman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jackson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Coleman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Jackson is tightening it up a little... Coleman has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Coleman reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Coleman taps out! Nice BJJ there by Jackson!
