Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson lands a head kick. Rouleau smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Mathieu Rouleau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rouleau misses with a body kick.
Rouleau misses the shot to the body.
Rouleau throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rouleau looks to land a right hand but Dawson moved out of range.
Rouleau fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dawson swats away the attempt to clinch by Rouleau.
Dawson dips to his left and cracks Rouleau with an uppercut!
Rouleau is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dawson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Dawson tries to keep at a distance but Rouleau has taken the fight into the clinch.
Rouleau is trying to push Dawson away but Dawson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Rouleau is trying to break the clinch but Dawson is controlling him.
Rouleau can't find room to land a body shot as Dawson controls the action.

Dawson breaks from the clinch.
Dawson bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Rouleau takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Dawson lands a head shot.

Rouleau moves into the clinch successfully.

Dawson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dawson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rouleau. Rouleau circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Dawson moves out of range of the strikes.
Dawson connects with a right hand. Rouleau shakes it off.

Rouleau is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rouleau misses the jab.
Rouleau shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dawson as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mathieu Rouleau. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rouleau is breathing heavily.
Dawson leaves Rouleau with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rouleau fails to land the takedown.

Rouleau wants to stay close but Dawson steps back to make room for something. Rouleau seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Dawson and Rouleau drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
