Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ghettin Muhbelleh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Ross has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross has a takedown stuffed.
Ross tries for a takedown but Muhbelleh sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Ross fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Muhbelleh avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Ross. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ross shoots in but Muhbelleh avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ross shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Muhbelleh as he jumps to the side.
Ross shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Muhbelleh but Muhbelleh pushes him off and we're back to square one.
No luck for Ross with that takedown attempt.

Muhbelleh closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Ross tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Muhbelleh lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ross backwards.

It looks like Ryan Ross has been cut.

Ross's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Muhbelleh throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Muhbelleh is pressed up against the cage. Ross has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Muhbelleh down to the mat. Muhbelleh avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Muhbelleh connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ross. Ross circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ross misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Muhbelleh.
Ghettin Muhbelleh is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Ross gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Muhbelleh lands a nice looking body shot.
Muhbelleh lands a right hook to the body.
Ross throws a lazy uppercut
and Muhbelleh counters with a stiff right hand.
Ross shoots in for a takedown but Muhbelleh shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ross is breathing heavily.

Muhbelleh gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ross throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Muhbelleh works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Muhbelleh wants to stand but Ross is controlling the position.

Muhbelleh trying to keep a closed guard but Ross is proving a slippery customer.
Ross lands a couple of elbows.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Muhbelleh can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ross is working Muhbelleh over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Ross missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Ross is in close to Muhbelleh's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Ross wants to control from the top but Muhbelleh keeps moving.
Ross lands a couple of digs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ross postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ross connects with a couple of short punches.
Ross makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Muhbelleh can't keep his opponent in guard - Ross advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ross wants to control but Muhbelleh is keeping him busy.
Ross lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Ross drops an elbow to the side of Muhbelleh's head.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Ross looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ross connects with a nice short shot to Muhbelleh's temple.

Muhbelleh is rocked!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Ross lands a nice short elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ryan Ross dominated that round.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Muhbelleh lands a jab to Ross's midsection.
Ross on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Ryan Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ross.

Muhbelleh is still in real trouble! Can Ross finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Muhbelleh is trying to improve his position.
Ross scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Muhbelleh is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Ross can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
