Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Great Cornholio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cornholio comes to the cage accompanied by Master of Puppets. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Great Cornholio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Woods!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Cornholio pushes Woods up against the cage in a clinch.
Woods tries to pull guard but Cornholio won't allow it.
Woods can't get the takedown.
Great Cornholio has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Woods.
Woods has Cornholio pressed against the cage, preventing Cornholio from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Woods manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Cornholio wants to control from the top but Woods keeps moving.
Woods is pulling down on Cornholio's head. It's preventing any offense from Cornholio, at least for the moment.
Woods bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cornholio's guard.

Cornholio has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Woods can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cornholio wants to stand up but Woods is controlling him.

Cornholio escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Woods gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Woods cracks Cornholio with a solid left hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cornholio is trying to keep Woods in close.

Cornholio is looking for a triangle but Woods pushes his legs off easily.

Woods drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Woods jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Cornholio has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Woods is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cornholio.
Cornholio is trying to get back to half guard.
Woods tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Woods is chipping away with strikes.
Cornholio struggling a bit here.
Cornholio manages to work his way to half guard, despite Woods's best efforts.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Woods trying to pass the guard but Cornholio defending well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Woods lands with a punch from half guard.
Woods is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Woods is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Cornholio is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jack Woods!
