The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolverine thows a body shot but no joy.
Wolverine throws a left and a right that both miss

and Gutierrez counters with a shoot takedown. Wolverine fights it but they end up in guard.
Gutierrez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Gutierrez trying to control the position from guard on top but Wolverine is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gutierrez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Wolverine lands with an uppercut that bounces Gutierrez off the cage and back into range.

It looks like Julio Gutierrez has been cut.
Wolverine throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Gutierrez counters with a shoot takedown. Wolverine fights it but they end up in guard.
Gutierrez passes Wolverine's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Well, if Gutierrez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

After the fight, Julio Gutierrez was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
