Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zeki Ata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Boondocks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ata's entrance music is E.S. Posthumus - Unstoppable . A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boondocks misses with a leg kick.
Ata throws the left hand but Boondocks avoids the punch easily.
Boondocks gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Boondocks thows a body shot but no joy.

Ata ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Boondocks moves away.

Ata tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Boondocks is able to avoid easily.

Ata closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Boondocks's guard.

Boondocks wants to stand but Ata is controlling the position.

and Boondocks takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ata lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Boondocks throws a leg kick but Ata moved away.
Ata avoids a kick to the body.
Boondocks has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Boondocks there as he acknowledges the shot.

Ata tries to land a front kick but Boondocks steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Ata shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boondocks's guard.

Boondocks is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Boondocks wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Still in the clinch, Ata scores with a nice short uppercut.

Ata has hold of one of Boondocks's legs. Boondocks is fighting the takedown attempt but Ata gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Ata arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Boondocks's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Zeki Ata!
Zeki Ata decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
