PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pedo Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bear might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pedo Bear. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pedo Bear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jacob Smith!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Bear manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bear ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Smith moves away.
Smith fails with an attempt to clinch.

Smith shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bear sprawls well. Bear wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.
Bear closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Bear displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Smith.
Smith shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Bear counters with a shoot takedown. Smith fights it but they end up in guard.
Pedo Bear has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jacob Smith.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Bear postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Bear has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Smith has his foot on Bear's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bear works his way back into a safe position though.
Smith wants to sweep here but Bear controlling him for the moment.
Bear cracks Smith with a solid left hand.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bear's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Bear stands up over Smith, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Smith will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Bear will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bear chips away with some ground and pound.
Bear is working Smith over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Bear working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Smith's head.

Bear with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Smith is still in real trouble! Can Bear finish him?

Bear gets to his feet and stands over Smith, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Smith felt that one! Bear unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Smith from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pedo Bear!
A very excited looking Pedo Bear made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
